LinkedIn lead generation cost calculator
See what you spent to create a qualified conversation or win a paying client. Include your time, use your own records, and keep unknown outcomes unknown.
Your figures stay in this page. We do not save or send them. Standard site analytics can record a calculation event without its values.
Your cost breakdown
- Cash costs
- Time value
- Total cost
- Cost per qualified conversation
- Cost per paying client
These results describe the figures you entered. They do not prove that LinkedIn caused a sale or predict future results.
Use one period and one set of conversations
Choose the work you want to evaluate before entering totals. For example: the time and cash spent during September to start a specific set of conversations, followed through to a stated review date. Count the clients won from that same set. Do not divide this month’s spending by clients won from older work.
Decide what qualifies a conversation before counting it: a company that fits your offer, a relevant person, a stated problem and a reason to discuss a next step. A like, profile view, connection or polite reply is not enough on its own. Our qualification guide helps you record that decision.
How the calculation works
- Time value = hours spent × value per hour.
- Total cost = cash costs + time value.
- Cost per qualified conversation = total cost ÷ qualified conversations.
- Cost per paying client = total cost ÷ verified new paying clients from those conversations.
If a denominator is zero, the corresponding result is undefined. The tool does not replace it with zero cost. Amounts are rounded to two decimal places. Paying-client count must not exceed the qualified conversations you entered for the same set.
A worked example
Fictional example: an agency spends $120 on relevant tools and 8 hours on content, research and follow-up. It values that time at $50 per hour. The reviewed work produced 6 qualified conversations and, by the review date, 1 paying client.
Total cost is $520: $120 cash plus $400 time. That is $86.67 per qualified conversation and $520 per paying client. These are illustrative figures, not Bravabase customer results or a target to adopt.
What should you do with the result?
Look at why the conversations did or did not fit. If many replies never become relevant discussions, revisit your audience and offer. If relevant discussions stall, review the promised next step and who owns it. Change one part of the process and compare another complete, consistently defined group.
Use the measurement guide to separate discovery, conversations and confirmed paid work. If someone else will continue a conversation, use the lead handoff template to preserve its context.
Is this an ROI or profit calculator?
No. It does not collect revenue, delivery costs, refunds or margin. A low acquisition cost does not establish a profitable engagement. It also does not assign credit across other channels that helped a buyer decide.
Does this connect to my LinkedIn account?
No. Enter aggregate figures from records you have already checked. Do not paste customer names or private messages. Refreshing or clearing the page removes the entered figures.
